The following policies are established to ensure compliance, protect all parties involved, and maintain the integrity of each notarial act.

Personal Appearance Requirement

All signers must personally appear before me at the time of notarization, as required by Virginia law. 

Identification Standards

Each signer must present valid, government-issued photo identification that meets Virginia legal requirements. Identification must be current or otherwise legally acceptable at the time of service.

Document Readiness

Documents must be complete and free of blank spaces prior to notarization. I do not prepare legal documents, provide legal advice, or determine the appropriate notarial act for your situation. Clients are responsible for ensuring their documents are accurate and ready for execution.

Fees and Payment

Notarial fees are charged in accordance with Virginia law. Any applicable travel fees are disclosed and agreed upon in advance and reflect reasonable travel expenses. Notarial Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless otherwise arranged. Additional Service Payment is due at the time of booking. 

Refusal of Service

I reserve the right to decline a notarization if:

• Proper identification is not presented
• The signer does not appear competent, willing, or aware
• The document is incomplete or contains blank sections
• The request does not comply with Virginia notarial law
